Capstone® is a business model, a simplified representation of a multi-million dollar company that participants are placed in to manage. Their "career" will be spent bringing the company to life. Teams of 5-6 participants will focus on the firm's weaknesses (strategic direction, executing tactics, organization, teamwork, etc.) in 4 core departments, Research and Development, Marketing, Production, and Finance (advanced modules are also available). Over time, teams will see how their company's performance were impacted from the decisions they made.
Putting the Pieces Together
Your students have been introduced to concepts of Business Strategy, Accounting, Marketing, HR, Operations, Finance and Management. They've been taught about the "trees." Now it's time to understand the forest. Your students will now be able to apply their conceptual knowledge through simulation.
Capstone® will show them how to put the pieces together. They'll use what they've learned as the basis for the real thing — learning to run an entire business. The management courses were never this dynamic and fun in the past. Learning through simulation provides students with a hands on approach to learning more about running a business.
